Ciska Terblanche
Ciska has an MSc in Environmental Management, an MBA, a Chemical Engineering degree and a BSc in Wood Science. Ciska has 25 years of experience in managing and advising the inextricably linked areas of energy, environment, and climate change. She brings technical, commercial, carbon and project experience to CMO.
Her early career started in the pulp and paper industry as a chemical engineer, which formed a solid basis for branching into energy, environment and climate change. Her previous work experience includes managerial positions in a range of sectors, such as pulp and paper, mining, engineering and forestry. She also served as a member of the UNFCCC methodology panel in Germany, where she reviewed and developed carbon methodologies.
Previous project work includes a broad scope from project technical and financial feasibility assessments, initiation, and project development and implementation of energy generation and carbon mitigation projects. In CMO she manages all aspects related to carbon and carbon investment initiatives in the forestry sector.
